What's New for Spring Instore and Online

Posted on

Since the start of the New Year, my mission has been simple: to amp up our in- store and online offering, so that all of our lovely customers can find more of what they want.

It's really important to me that we bring you brands that a: you can't find readily on the HIgh Street and b: (if you're shopping in-store) anywhere else in the West of Scotland and maybe even beyond....

As such; I am delighted to share with you a sneaky peak at the lovely labels heading your way this season.

Our younger customers are going to fall in love with this collection but some of our more mature ladies are going to love it too.  Artlove are a French company who design highly feminine styles that come at an amazing price-point.  Arriving mid-late March the eight piece edit includes some great dresses - perfect for the races or a Spring wedding - a wonderful navy wrap detail jumpsuit and a gorgeous oriental print tuxedo jacket.  Prices range from £40 to £60 and sizes run from UK 8 through to UK 16.

I've been trying to find a handbag brand to offer affordable yet stylish bags, that look much more expensive than they really are.  Finally, I think I've managed to do that with Azure!  Arriving in early March we we a great selection from clutches to shoulder bags and totes.

All are made in really high quality PU that doesn't smell and looks very much like leather. As such, the bags are vegan friendly and all come in at less than £50.  I've generally selected styles that are quite simple without too much embellishment and no logos - and - as such - they look much more expensive than they are.

Shown above we have just two of the many styles arriving - our versatile chain trim tote which also converts into a clutch and our "boy" quilted shoulder bag which comes in three great colourways.

Our ladies love Kalisson and it has appeal across all age ranges. The Autumn Winter collection sold out really quickly due to the fantastic price point and quality. This Portuguese brand produces stunning separates that feature different fabrications and patterns and as such, look like nothing else available.

Arriving in mid-late March the collection includes a fantastic floral and velour bomber jacket (Kalisson bomber jackets are a best seller), some lovely light weight sweaters and of course, their amazing tee shirts.  Sizing runs UK 8- UK 16 and prices £35-£65.

Anyone who shops at Armoire will know I'm extremely fussy about the trousers that we buy.  A great fitting pair of trousers is undoubtedly the foundation to our everyday wardrobe but they are really difficult to find.

For Spring and Summer I wanted to find a brand to run alongside our best selling FDJ range.  I needed this brand to offer younger, more contemporary styling whilst retaining all of the great fabrication and fit qualities of our existing brands.

Cue Liverpool Jeans.  This LA based company is the brain child of the ex Creative Director of Not Your Daughters Jeans (and his wife) and aims to offer great fit, using hi tech fabrications for amazing support and stretch. This super-cool brand and all of its styles are named after music and film icons, from which the designer draws his inspiration.  The lines we've chosen to stock this season; are all high waisted as we know that's what you like.

We have three styles for Spring. On the left is the "Madonna" legging and (in my opinion) every woman needs this style in her wardrobe. It is essentially the same trouser as our FDJ PDR best seller but with a skinny leg, that you'll be able to tuck into boots during the winter. The PDR is wonderfully light and soft and this gorgeous trouser will retail at just £59.

To the right we have our super stretchy indigo skinny - very similar to FDJ Love Denim - which will retail at £75 and we also have a super high waisted pull on skinny in a lighter wash which retails at £69.

Liverpool Jeans arrive into stock at Armoire in early March.

This was a great wee find we made at the Moda Show in Birmingham.  Malissa is a Yorkshire Lass who has created her own range of Italian seperates, designed to fit real women.  She travels over to Italy several times a year to meet with the clothing factories and tweak their designs to her own specification. As such, all of the garments have interesting design features.

Sizes run UK 12-UK 18 approximately and are very good for curvier or larger busted girls.

We will dip in and out of this range across the season but arriving in early March we have the amazing ring design sweater and boucle jacket. The sweater comes in black, blush pink and cream and the jacket black and cream.

In mid-late March we take delivery of a capsule costume jewellery collection from Park Lane.  Offering a nice contrast to our ever popular Melinda Maria styles; this gorgeous range often comes in presentation boxes, so it's perfect for gifting too.  We have a great selection of necklaces and bracelets all at fantastic prices.

Although a much-loved brand in the South; this gorgeous brand of sophisticated lounge wear isn't widely stocked in Scotland.  The fabrications are truly beautiful to the touch, matched by amazing cut and quality.

When I visited the showroom to order I was fortunate enough to meet (another Laney) the designer herself.  The range is designed and manufactured in the UK to be as sustainable as it can possibly be and with six collections a year, there's always something new to see.

Postcard is the last Spring collection to arrive with us in mid May and features their seasonless slouchy jumper, a gorgeous Bardot top that's perfect for holidays, capri-style joggers and much, much more. The colour palette we've chosen is one of mainly highly wearable neutrals (grey marl, coconut milk, black and navy) shot through with selected styles in a really lovely dusky orchid shade.

Sizing on Postcard goes S/M (8-12) and M/L (14-18)

This super-fun and gorgeous range was founded in 2006 by Aleks Pzedpelska, and run exclusively from a glamorous spare bedroom, Sugarhill's first collection was a small run of hand-dyed resort wear but it has evolved into a highly wearable and fun collection of separates, including knitwear.

In sizes UK 8  - UK 16 our capsule collection of eight pieces arrives with us in April and includes this gorgeous grey sweater and alternative twist on a Breton stripe top. There are also gorgeous dresses and short sleeve applique t shirts.

Our gorgeous collection of Italian casual dresses and tops arrives in April and features our sell-out button back floaty top in amthyst, army green, mocha and dusky sky blue.  There's an amazing soft jersey midi dress which can be worn in various ways, a stunning silk cami and much more.

Sizes run S/M (UK 8-12) and M/L (UK 14-18) and prices are all under £50. This collection features beautiful fabrics and relaxed yet glamorous styling and completely sold out when we got our last delivery.

We are so excited to bring you these brands because we truly believe you're going to love them - so stay tuned!

With love, Laney x
